With reference to my telegram of
the 19th. instant, I have the honour to inform you that
being advised by der Britannic Majesty's Consul General
at Canton that there was no danger in the cadets return-
ing to the settlement there, and with the consent of the
Officer Administering the Government of the Straits Set-
tlements I allowed two or the caress "ho ere desirous
of doing so to return to Centon.
The other 3 have elect-
ed to remain in Longkong.
